MONTHLY COMMUNITY KALI PUJA

These pujas are popular, and SPACE IS LIMITED! Please RSVP by calling

Our ongoing puja, or worship ceremony, is held in our private

sanctuary and dedicated to the Goddess Kali and to those who are

recognized in myriad forms around the world as the Dark Mother.

Ceremony is held in the Sha'can tradition ( an authentic Shakta Tantra

lineage made accessible to the West) and lead by one of our Rashani

(ordained priest/esses). This puja infuses methods and practices from

East and West in order to create a sacred space for worship and the

path of bhakti, or devotion, in a Western context.

 

What to bring... Offerings for the main altar are welcome. It is

customary to bring flowers, fruit or sweets and to refrain from

wearing black to our public rituals. If you wish to wear a special

color for Kali, red is Her special color. You are also invited to

bring an object you would like to have blessed. A sliding scale

donation of $8-13 is suggested to cover the cost of the puja supplies

and prasad (blessed food); however, no one is ever turned away and any

donation is happily accepted.

 

Because of limited space, an R.S.V.P. is appreciated if you'd like to

participate. All ceremonies begin at 5:30 p.m.
