Thus in the Sruti [br. UP., II. 4. 12], the word vijNAnaghana is explained. or VijNana, jiva because in the Sruti [br. Up. III. 4.2 ] "Remaining in VijNana" is explained as jiva. Ghana, mass, ie. aggregate of jivas. Hiranyagarbha is the synthesis of the aggregate of the Jivas. Where in Sruti [Prs. Up., V. 5], the word jivaghana occurs, it is explained thus.
