Guest guest
I've been reading some of the group conversations on the SS website in attempt to unconfuse myself on a particular point. (See? Your efforts in maintaining the website ARE appreciated.) I have a question... and a suggestion. The question: are the group conversations listed in chronological order? And would you consider (for at least future postings) adding a date (month, year, or maybe year and quarter) to future postings and FAQ entries? Some of the conversations, when strung together, make sort of a meta- conversation, but it's hard to know what order to mentally string them together in. Good Morning MsBaju Thank you for your feedback with regards to our homepage. It is always a pleasure to get comments. At least I know somebody is looking at our homepage after all. I have already put in the Month and Year in some of our latest conversation series but not the old ones. What I am trying to do is to chronologically them into year or perhaps alphabetical order. I know they are all jumbled up right now but rest assured I am doing what ever I can. The problem is my online time is rather restricted for the past 2 - 3 weeks. But I will have more time starting from tonight and I can do more work in the homepage. I am in the midst of a "battle" and my mind is not in proper order few days ago. But if you are willing to help me, I am really grateful. It will definitely help us. There has been suggestion that we should hire a professional webmaster. But I am still very protective of our website. It is our own hard work, like a garden we tended with love and care. We started from scratch and we learn to mend it from trial and error. To just hand it over to a stranger is a nightmare, to me. I believe too tending the website is like Sadhana. You must do it yourself. You do not hire another to do your Sadhana for you right? Why don't you or anybody give us what you have in mind: a sample of how we should do them, and I will do the necessary. The SS homepage is DEVI's GARDEN. It is for us and from us. If you want to be part of it, we welcome you with open arms.
Guest guest
I think msbauju is an ideal candidate to offer assistance as sadhana. That is certainly allowed. But it isn't necessarily so that you don't hire someone. It becomes a shared sadhana, in a larger picture/grander scheme of things, of Shakti Sadhana. I still feel that shafted us when it changed its archive management (to non-management). It used to be that you could input a term or topic, and up would pop all the messages that dealt with that term or topic. They would already have the date, etc. with them. But what, if anything, can be done about this? Last time I looked into it, the answer was nothing. , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy@s...> wrote: > I have already put in the Month and Year in some of our latest > conversation series but not the old ones. Guest guest
There is a book called HTML4 for Dummies, and there's probably an updated version since I got that years ago. It's quite helpful. , "msbauju" <msbauju> wrote: > , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy@s...> > wrote: > > I have already put in the Month and Year in some of our latest > > conversation series [....] > > Thank you; you're ahead of me! > > > [....] give us what you have in mind: a sample > > of how we should do them, and I will do the necessary. Name it : cook book for webmaster, HtML publishing etc but I hardly refer to any. I cant even remember how I got those books. I borrowed from the Singapore Library, brought them back to KL and forgot all about them. Declared lost and pay the fine, and the books becomes mine. I hope there is no Singapore Librarian amongst us. They will ban me from borrowing in future. They are so rich... so many new books.... HHHaaaa. How I learn the HTML : trial and error. I learn better and its more fascinating. I download the HTML page, then dissect them into pieces, look for the pattern and move them around. The result : you can just figure out. hhhaaa

Hahaaahaaaa somebody finds this statement of mine shocking. Okay let me clarify. I do not hoard books from the library. I stop borrowing because I dont trust myself. That is my first incident. I left it in the airport on my way back home and forgot all about. Eventually I have to declare it as lost because I cant find them. The fines I have to pay is the same as the cost of the books. Coincidentally somebody in the airport found it and return it back to me during my next trip. Since I have already paid, the library said its consider sold. If I want to do my reading, I go to the reference section. No more books to bring back except those I bought from the bookstore. Lesson learn from here people, if never never lend your books to me.
