tirodhAnakari : causing the dissappearance.

 

TirodhAna, complete destruction, ie the absorption even of the atoms

into prakrti like the extinction of a light. This is the function of

Isvara when pure concentrated sattva quality predominates.

 

Or she is in the form of sakti called tiraskarini. The

TripurAsiddhAnta says, "Because you cause the disappearance of all who

are not devotees, rightly, O fair-faced one, you are called

Tiraskarini"
