Bhairavi

I've seen it used more generally for a female adept, beyond any

given ritual. I seem to recall that the woman who was one of Sri

Ramakrishna's teachers was called this, though I may be confusing her

with another Bengali sadhvi.

Only if she is a sadhvini she is a bhairavi or else if she is taking

part in a bhairavi-chakra she turns into a bhairavi for that time as

far as i know . A non ascetic female would be more appropriatly called

yogini.

excuse the typo :sadhvi not sadhvini. (sadhvi-sadhu)
