Guest guest
Respected Members, Kindly read about the subtle practice of meditation based on our unique Shaiva Agamas. Virendra ------------------------ Dear Shankaran Nambiar, My regards! It is a great pleasure to discuss the nice path of "Sadhana" shown by Swami Laxman Ji Mahraj, the great master of Kashmir Shaivism. Kindly recall the four stages nicely conveyed by him. If we follow it meticulously, one stage will smoothly lead to the another stage. First: Asana, the seat of meditation. Shaiva Agamas recognize only one asana. It is sandhi - the space between prana and aprana. Indeed, sandhi is abode of Para Devi. Second: Pranayama, the regulation of breath. Agamas focus on "Internal Kumbakh". That will direct prana to middle channel (Sushmana) and door of Bliss will open. Third : Cakrodaya This is meditation with awareness. Many methods are used for beginers. Some recite "Soham" mantra. Purpose is to lead a person to higher stage. Otherwise, one will fall sleep while trying to concentrate in dyana. Hope it is clear? Fourth: Ajapa Jap: the effortless state. Please feel free to ask any further guidance. Hope you will have second session of meditation with me in Kaula Lampur during Dec this year. We will enjoy the bliss based on the technique of Vighan Bhairav. Pranam! Virendra. Shankaran Nambiar <sknambiar wrote: Dear Shri VIrendra, Please accept my pranam. I have just read that Swamiji says that the breath should be loud, so loud that those sitting next can hear. Is my understanding correct? That means the breathing is a bit forced, is it? Why is it Swamiji didn't continue the parampara? How will instruction and teaching continue? Did he say anything about that? I pray to Siva that there is some opportunity for us to meet, and for me to clear my doubts. Regards, Shankaran Too much spam in your inbox?
