before dawn broom, wipe (the floor), make floral

garlands

and hail, sing the praise, salute to the glee of head,

dance, and scream, "shankarA jaya hail Thee, hail

Thee!!",

"Oh our Source with red-twined-hair where there is

tidal water!"

"Oh Lord of thiruvArUr!!!"

 

Notes:

1. Internal love for God gets stability when the

external acts of service and worship is given due

importance. No doubt, yama and niyama are kept

as the first two steps of the spiritual progress.

The life of the 63 saints talk in length of the

importance given to the niyama (service taken up

by a devotee for God).
