Guest guest
It should be done ONLY under expert guidance. -yogaman , yoosh <yoosh_go> wrote: > hi. is anyone familiar with shank prakshalana? > is is possible to do it with something else than salt water? > i just can't drink salt water.... i throw up instantly. > thank you. The practice is fairly simple - yet I second the advice given: study it under guidance of expert.
Guest guest
Hi yoosh I'm very familiar with it and yes yoga man is correct you really do need to prepare your self before hand I would sugest lagoo shirshank aprankshala wich is a modified version where as the intestines and colone isn’t completely cleansed out it is three rounds instead of the seven A special diet is needed directly after and for the following week must keep away from acidic foods the following week again needs to be strees free there fore an ashram would be good to practice the full practise if you know of one in youre area that teaches it. The weath must not be to hot or to cold either Better stick to the amoroli yoosh. Its safer. All the best John Mathieson. Each glasses of water follows with certain standard asanas. I still not clear of the salt water preparation.Someone said its one full heap teaspoon of salt to one liter of water other says its one tablespoon. kindly confirm. they says there is 5 types of asana. please clearify. advance thanks. bala > > >
Guest guest
The amount of salt should be very minimal. Certainly not a tablespoon, and probably not a teaspoon either - quarter of teaspoon per one liter would be enough. Much more - and severe headache for the rest of the day is likely to follow. Lime juice is good to add - again, in moderation. If you absolutely can't get a good teacher to supervise you - the procedure is described in Swami Satyananda's book. I still advise a teacher.
