You are right. there are variations, green, white and red tara....

 

It does not matter which one one choose or is chosen by...faith and

practice is what is important...not gathering information. Any sadhana

is good.

Thanks for the info

 

But, Green tara is considered the source of all emanations

 

according to tibetan tantra she is the emanation of 21 taras ( who have

different colors) and

 

also emanations of 108 taras

 

meditating on a certain tara would require initiation with a particular mantra

 

meditating on green tara, one acheives evrything, besides green is considered by

the tibetans

 

to be a dynamic colour

 

one must have faith and chant so it doesnt really matter which particular

emanation you are

 

concentrating on if one has no ill will towards anyone else

 

I am happy to know there are so many worshippers of tara
