vedajanani : Mother of the Vedas.

 

The Sruti [Mun. Up., I. 1.5] says, "The Vedas are the breath of this

great Being." PurusasUkta also says, "Rks and sAmans came out [from

Him]." The Devi. Pr., "Because, there arose from the Kundalini, which

is triangular in form, the vowels and consonants; hence she is the

mother of all the Vedas."
