Guest guest
Is it ok to receive Mantra Diksha from more than one Guru ? namaste , joanna __ Start your day with - make it your home page http://www./r/hs
Guest guest
Namaste Joanna, Sure it is ok, but I would suggest that one sticks to Just One Guru and LEarning and accepting what ever he has to teach. Searchinfg for more and getting their initiation is not as worth as gaining the One Knowledge from that One Guru. Now the choice is up to you but still think about it for it will get you only more confused in life. Pranam, babitha
Guest guest
Of course! 2 Gurus can even give you the same mantra as well (i.e. Gayatri initiation, et al.). But nevertheless, one Guru can only ever be your Sat Guru, while any number can be instructing or Siksha gurus. Very often, people are initiated by a sat guru into a particular lineage or such, (Vaishnava, et al.), to satisfy a family samskara or tendency towards a particular type of worship. They may then later meet a siksha or instructing guru, who may satisfy their soul's devotional needs more than the original initiating Sat Guru. The 2nd relationship will by no means minimize the first; actually it may even serve to amplify it. It would be like having a father or mother whom you love, and then having a parent remarry and then you getting a stepmother or stepfather whom you also love. You can accept, give and receive love from all of the above. Janardana dasa
Guest guest
93 Abhinavagupta in his Tantraloka says that if a guru is not posessing of complete knowledge (is not purna-siddha), then one may go from one guru to another thus acquiring the totality - like a bee from one flower to another. Of course, one should seek Truth. And not a status being initiated 10 times LOL.
