Guest guest
Dr. S. S. Deshpande, a Siddha Yoga Master from India, is currently on a U.S. tour to promote Siddha Yoga. Siddha Yoga is the Yoga of Meditation, that results from a Living Yoga Master awakening the Latent Spiritual Energy (Kundalini) that resides in each and everyone of us, eventually leading to self-realization. As a part of Dr. Deshpande's tour, he will be conducting several discourses on and demonstrations of Siddha Yoga in the Northern Virginia area on Sunday, July 31st and Monday, August 1st, 2005. All are welcome. Following is a brief description of Siddha Yoga and it's salient features: What is Siddhayoga? - Each and everyone of us has a Latent Spiritual Power (Kundalini Shakti) within oneself - Siddhayoga is the path of having the Latent Power (Kundalini Shakti) be awakened by the presence of a living Spiritual Master who initiates the disciple by blessing him/her with the awakening of his/her Latent Power. - It leads to self-realization through amazing divine experiences that come from having this Latent Power be awakened. Salient features of Siddhayoga - Any individual, irrespective of age, religion, sex or race is eligible for this supreme path. - When once initiated, the intrinsic latent power of the path starts the work of purification of the Life-force (Prana Shakti). By the grace of the spiritual master and through regular Meditation (Sadhana), the initiated person (Sadhak) gets amazing spiritual experiences and eventually achieves self-realization. A No-cost, Simplest and highest path of Yoga - It is a no-cost incurring path because the person wishing to be initiated by the spiritual master does not have to pay anything. It is free of charge. - It is the simplest because the seeker does not have to do anything other than sitting down straight, keeping the body loose and closing ones eyes. He/She has to observe how the process of breathing in and out goes on automatically. While sitting in this posture, one has to totally forget about ones body and mind. The only activity should be focusing on the automatic breathing process. About the Presenter: Dr. Deshpande was initiated into Siddha Yoga in 1984 by P.P.
