Guest guest
I was able to get a copy of the CD, and was wondering if ther was any specific chant I should use for the CD? I have a new court date of Aug. 18th and wanted to get started (again) doing my protections. Thanks for your help. Maybe you are right, if any of it is on there, it may not be all of it. I had taken that CD out and listened to it long before I read about / searched for the Pravargya. Ramaswami says in his book that he feels "extremely good and peaceful at the end of an hour's chanting, especially of the Pravargya." So, wherever a copy can be found, it sounds like something the original poster could use. In , "Adwaith Menon" <menonar> wrote: If the contents of that CD is this: "Vandanaa trayee. Opening music, Ganesha, Saraswati, music Guru (4:28) -- Omkaaraaya namana (1:55) -- Vedic chanting (One) with flute (3:10) -- Asato maa (7:10) -- Sahanaa vavatu (4:2 5) -- Poornamadah joined with tampura (1:23) -- Gaayatri (3:26) -- Mahaa mrityunJaya (Om triambakam) (4:41) -- Veenaa-murali (music interlude) with flute (3:44) -- Geetaa (Karmanye vadhikaraste) (2:15) -- Mangalam (Tala mantra) (4:10) -- Hari om (music interlude) (3:05) -- Svara mantra (Indian group and string quartet) (4:36) -- Vedic chanting (Two) with sitar, strings and voice (2:14) -- Prabhujee (8:10) -- Sarve shaam(5:05).", then i really wonder if the pravargya brahmana is chanted in there! The text of pravargya brahmana ie taittiriya aranyaka chapter 5 can be downloaded from "http://www.sanskritweb.net/yajurveda/ta- 05.pdf" and the pravargya ritual itself performed can viewed online from the site, "http://jyotistoma.nl/EN/default.asp#Pravargya" .But......the whole performance is around 1.5 hrz long !!! the accompanied begining and end mantras can be heard alone which are actually from the 4th chapter.
