Guest guest
sivaduti : Siva is her messenger The Mark. Pr says, "As Siva himself was made a messenger by that Devi, she was known in the world as Sivaduti." Some commentators think that she was made a messenger by Siva. But this [interpretation] is without authority. Ths is the deity of the Puskaratirtha. The Padma Pr says, "Now I will tell you of other deities. She who lives in the Puskara…. Sivaduti, the beneficient, ever conferring happiness." BhAskararAya's Commentary Translated into English by R. Ananthakrishna Sastry
Guest guest
"Siva-dUtI [indicates that] Siva-bhakti ultimately conducts the devotees to Her feet. Without the grace of Siva, it is hard to obtain Atma-JNAna. "Siva dUtI is also one of the 16 nityAs. She is the presiding deity of the puskara-tIrtha as well. And there is a vidyA or mantra called 'Siva-dUtI-vidyA,' which is probably referred to here." - Dr. C.
