Guest guest
Kolkata: Nine-year-old Arup Manna fell into a deep, Rip Van Winkle- like slumber nearly a year ago leaving his parents distraught and doctors baffled, with no clue how to wake him up. Arup was like any other boy of his age, an active and lively child, with a special ability to paint and recite, until last year when he started complaining of drowsiness all the time, says his mother. Special ability to paint and recite.....would not be surprised if he is in a state of "samadhi" after coming across some powerful mantra. Might have recited them w/o knowing. May be DB can ask his Guru about a possible cure. G

While the boy may not be able to vocalize his answer because he is asleep, any responsible citizen would think he does need a cure. If his parents are doing all they can to wake him up, I think he does need to be awakened. extremely strange case ... is it coma or is it spiritual coma (samadhi) or something else? time will tell. Nope. This is what Im telling myself based on my own personal experience as a Nurse. The point is im not there with the boy and unable to make any assessment. Second hand information can be very tricky. But again what's harm can it do to offer prayers to the wellbeing of the parents and the boy. Ive seen patients whom the doctors swear that they will never walk again, walk before their eyes. HOw do you explain all that?
