Guest guest
Dear Members, I have been reading many a mail regardig the woship of hanuman by ladies. Why ladies are not allowed to do pooja or attend during the menses period. When in periods, the body is subjected to severe heat usually called as USHNAVEERYA IN AYURVEDA. this time is more susceptible to infections, frayed tempers, abnormalities. blood offering is restricted to many a deities. At this juncture, when a lady is a part of a religious prayer/pooja, then if her bleeding is continuing at that time, then the menstrual blood is bound to impurify the sacred place. Again spiritually, some deities are provoked by the very offering of blood and hence as a precaution, they are kept aside. Praying to god or doing sadhana to some gods increase the heat in the body which shall be uncontrollable and leads to severe problems. Even Gayatri mantra is not said for chanting by ladies becasue of the heat it produces and women's body already is of ushna veerya. So certain things which the people of the old have told comes in relevence to science but very lately. It should not be construed that women are kept away because of this. A women is regarded as the embodiment of birth and women folk should not feel like that. They should understand this is the natural rest which is given to them for their remaining days of stenous work and pressure at home. I have so far never seen Hanuman manifest any lady so far. But I have seen Hanuman come in the body of males. Devis also have the same mestruation problem and my friend told me that they also take off once in a year as rest. Since for them time is calculated on year basis and not in days as in case of human beings. Mayb my knowledge is limited in this regard. open to comments.
