black cobra in chandanwadi

dear friends

om namo bhagawate rudraya

the attached photo was taken in chandanwadi enroute Amarnath. this black cobra

came infront of me and people went panic. but i requested them to leave it

alone. then the cobra climbed a rock on the side of the path, stayed there for

5 minutes by which time all devotees started having its darshan with devotion

and then the nag went below the rock.

similarly i was fortunate to have had a divine darshan of the revered seshnag in

the seshnag lake three times. but all the photos taken by me as well as by

several others came blank. thousands of fellow pilgrims shared their

experiences that till date no one could take a photo of the seshnag in the

seshnag lake as all the photographs taken have come blank.

in praise of lord shiva

Namaskara,

By Black cobra do you mean Kalinga sarpa which is also called King

cobra?

Does serpents have any significance in Shaktism?

Namaskaar Kesavaji

This is probably Vasuki playing around, he appears as

a

hugh black cobra with particularly long fangs and

blazing red eyes in meditation. On the physical plane

though, he appears as a normal cobra. The significance

of the snake is wisdom in one sense and destruction in

another. In his destructive aspect he appears as an

immense coiled black snake. When you can perceive Lord

Rudra, his matted hair turns into snakes !
