Guest guest
I have only seen references to Svapneshvari in the writings of Harish Johari. I know he was doing research on dream interpretation, and invoked Svapneshvari (The Lady of Dreams) as part of this work. I recall his saying that Svapneshvari was a manifestation of Varahi-Devi. If the Lady of dreams appears in ancient scriptures, I haven't come across her myself. (There is a pretty illustration of Svapneshvari on the Sanatan Society website -- this is an organization of relatives, friends, and students of Johari's, many of whom are artists who have mastered Johari's style of painting.) Ucchistha Chandali is a name or title of Matangi-Devi's. It means "the Sweeper of Leftovers" -- Chandalis being a low caste of dark-skinned people frequently employed as sweepers, and Ucchistha meaning divine leftovers, rather like prasad, and sacred to the goddess. See Devi Bhakta's writings about Matangi on the Shakti Sadhana website. -- Len/ Kalipadma --- Dev Maharaj <dev_maharaj wrote > > I too am interested in Taleju, I was fortunate to > see > a documentary on Navartri Puja in Nepala and wanted > to > get more information on this.
