Guest guest
Of course, Varahi is one of the Saptamatrikas. She is associated with the Manipura chakra, removes the sin of pride, and protects the body dhatu of the bones. (A child's hard bones were believed provided by the Father's force.) Kurukulla is more often found in Buddhist practice, where she is considered the Red Tara. She strongly corresponds with the Matrika Kaumari. Kaumari is associated with the Vishuddha chakra, removes the sin of greed, and protects the dhatu of the flesh. (A child's soft flesh was believed provided by the Mother's force.) -- Len/ Kalipadma --- mahahradanatha <mahahradanatha wrote: > Kurukulla presides over the red drop (bindu) of > life energy inherited > from the mother, while varahi presides of the white > inherited life > energy drop from the father i just mentioned in my > recent post on > Jwalamukhi. > The fusion of both drops generate a human being (or > shri chakra) > the five so called shaktis= downward pointing > triangles of kurukulla > together with the four fires (upward moving > elements) of varahi form > the the inner core (seed or sprout) of the shri > chakra. Guest guest
Being a jack of all trades i have found out that it is important to keep the interpretations of different traditions and context apart. In this special case the interpretation follows the srividya, i am not a big expert on srividya, but with that little i know we are touching here one of the main secrets of understanding the structure of this yantra. Like mr menons said study of the bhavanopanishad and its apllication (prayoga) can shed further light on these powerful ideas and practices, because being a lazy bum i am addicted to "esoteric" yoga- contrasted with devotional practices (i lack the discipline to recite long texts and spending hours with puja) for me ideas contained in the bhavanopanishad who deal with the identification of your mind and body with the deity, are the most important in srividya giving hints for the actual meditation practices. This transcends all bonds of tradition there is no more name and form. The deities connected with the dhatus receive the offering of food and transform these offerings into our bodily dhatus. By the admixture of the dhatus in the form of the triangles of water fire not only our body parts like bone marrow hair skin etc ios formend but also the nadis and pranas and the different parts of our mind where all the information and sense impressions are stored and digested. The different deities that are worshipped in the smaller triangles that develop because of the interaction (crossing of the upward pointed and downward pointed dhatus) of the inherited father mother parts are our or sridevis subtle nadis, sense organs, impressions, pranas etc. The two most refinend essences of the food are semen / ova. In our body semen / ova the most refined essence of food move downward and leak out of the lower part of the body as sperm and menstrual blood, carrying inside the full information to build a new body (fetus) carrying inside the full masterplan of the sri chakra. The fire ascending = 4x3Triangles=12 Zodiac signs = The sun The water descending 5x3 Triangles= 15 Tithis of the Moon= 15 nitya Deities= The Moon The mixed 15+12= 27 Nakshatras= the stars The inner body powers-energies are shown by fire and water the universe powers by sun and moon. Developing ourselves we must eventually use both inner and outer energies. , Len Rosenberg <kalipadma108> wrote: > > Of course, Varahi is one of the Saptamatrikas.
