Guest guest
The central yellow triangle of the Shri Yantra is usually depicted as pointing down but I have occassionally seen it depicted as pointing up. Do any of you know which is correct and why? The problem with the triangle pointing down as I see it is that your attention and prana is directed downward into the 7 lower talas, the source of all misery, whereas if the triangle is pointing up the attention and prana is directed to the upper seven chakrasa and spiritual evolution. Guest guest
These are only different ways, there is even one school who puts the bindu in between, but i give you a hint how to find out who to trust. Its like going to a festival or market: some sit at home, arguing about what way is right and proclaiming to know they have not started to walk, nor will they ever start. Those that do not answer questions are walking (why should those that are on the road bother to discuss the question with those that sit at home quarelling) They that have reached the goal sit relaxed and drink a hot chai with lots of sugar and milk. The technical details why some use it up down or mixed are purely depending on which side you face. (father mother or child-white red or mixed) All is equally possible. , "just4amusement" <just4amusement> wrote: > The central yellow triangle of the Shri Yantra is usually depicted > as pointing down but I have occassionally seen it depicted as > pointing up. Guest guest
This is all explainend in these verses of the Bhavanupanishad: 27. Truly, awareness without attributes in Kameshvara. 28. One's very own self, true, blissful, complete, is the supreme Goddess Lalita. 29. The red glow of all this is the mirror. 30. Presence of consciousness is siddhi. 31. When one meditates in this way action is Homage. > These are only different ways, there is even one school who puts the > bindu in between, but i give you a hint how to find out who to trust. > Its like going to a festival or market: some sit at home, arguing > about what way is right and proclaiming to know they have not > started to walk, nor will they ever start. Guest guest
"some sit at home, arguing about what way is right" I have absolutely no interest in arguing about anything. I am, however, interested in the rationale for having the central triangle pointing up or down. I agree with you that however one uses the Shri Yantra, if they obtain a softening of the ego and a spiritualization of their life and meditation practice from that method, then that is the correct method for them. But it is always good to understand the other person's point of view so that there is no tendency to proclaim a definitive claim of truth. , "mahahradanatha" <mahahradanatha> wrote: > These are only different ways, there is even one school who puts the > bindu in between, but i give you a hint how to find out who to trust. > Its like going to a festival or market: some sit at home, arguing > about what way is right and proclaiming to know they have not > started to walk, nor will they ever start. Guest guest
This is just a guess, but I would imagine that what the commenter meant towards you is that it is not useful to argue which way is right. The only way to learn this, as with any authentic, traditional esoteric spiritual practice is through the timeless tradition of Guru Parampara. What your Guru teaches you is the right way and will provide you with the context that will support this, as his Guru provided for him, etc. - just4amusement Saturday, September 10, 2005 1:01 PM Re: Shri Yantra "some sit at home, arguing about what way is right" I have absolutely no interest in arguing about anything. Its strange for some people to said to have accept her fully with pure mind. Your earlier statement is still classic : She helps to keep unwanted energies and stupid people away from her devotees by creating the illusion that her devotee [ let me add Her rituals ]is ucchista=unclean also, while in fact this is only divine illusion to protect the knowledge from the dualists

Guest guest
Yes you are on the right track, Its the Kadi (sakti) Hadi (Siva) and Kahadi (siva Sakti equally) path depending on the union ofeither 5 with 4, 4 with 5 ,or 4 and 4 + 1 (kamakala part). Like i said its all explained very clearly in the bhavanupanishad verses i posted. All are using different mantras also. , Len Rosenberg <kalipadma108> wrote: > > I was under the impression that a downward-pointing > triangle symbolized Shakti (female deity), and an > upward-pointing triangle symbolized Shiva (male > deity). > > -- Len/ Kalipadma > > > --- just4amusement <just4amusement> wrote: > > > Do you know the reasons for pointing the central > > triangle either > > up or down? > > > > > > > > ____ > for Good > Watch the Hurricane Katrina Shelter From The Storm concert > http://advision.webevents./shelter

Guest guest
Kahadi this term just spurted out of my spongy brain and oops there it was right in the middle of the internet.....i do not actually remember where i got it from but It is not "khaadi" it is Ka ha di the union of Kadimata and Hadimata attaching equal importance to Ka and Ha and this corresponds to splitting the sri chakra into 4 upward Triangles and 4 downpointing +1 extra (instead of either 4 or 5) giving equal status to kamesvara and kamesvari. > > mahahradanatha <mahahradanatha> wrote: > What the was kahadi ? Guest guest
I have also the term "ka ha di" in Swami Satyananda Saraswati's book "The Guru and the Goddess" where there is a detailed explanation of the Lalita Trishati. This Swami is with Shree Maa of the Devi Mandir in Napa Valley, CA. I quote from the book: "As Sri Vidya, she has three forms: Kadi, the Divine Mother manifesting as the Primary Cause Hadi, Lord Shiva, Infinite Consciousness, and ultimately as Sodashi, the 16-lettered Kahadi, who is Siva and Sakti in undifferentiated union, manifesting this as all the Oneness of Nature perceived by Consciousness. Together they become the Sri Yantra, as Kadi, the five triangles of the Divine Mother in union with the four triangles of Shiva, as Hadi, the five triangles of Infinite Consciousness in union with the four triangles of Shakti, and as Kahadi, the four of Shiva and the four of Shakti, in union with the one of Kamakala, the unity of all aspects." , "mahahradanatha" <mahahradanatha> wrote: > Kahadi this term just spurted out of my spongy brain and oops there > it was right in the middle of the internet.....i do not actually > remember where i got it from but It is not "khaadi" it is Ka ha di > the union of Kadimata and Hadimata attaching equal importance to Ka > and Ha and this corresponds to splitting the sri chakra into 4 upward > Triangles and 4 downpointing +1 extra (instead of either 4 or 5) > giving equal status to kamesvara and kamesvari. > > > > > > mahahradanatha <mahahradanatha> wrote: > > What the was kahadi ? bmsuthar
Dear Atmabandhu: As I believe in Karma or action, I do not fool around. By the grace of parmatma, anything needed by me and divine powers grant it, those things come to me. That way, I come to know two types of Sree Yantras. One which has triangles going outward and another sree yantra has triangles going inwards. One has borders has opening in all four directions whereas another has closed border. The Sree Yantra which has triangles going inwards is for the people who wants to do sadhana only for Pramatma Prapti only, not for the siddhies. The other one is to gain siddhies which is not good because it will make sadhak diverted to temptations, glory, name, fame, wealth, etc. With the grace from my guru and his kripa, I was lucky to get the diksha not only to do puja or worship, but to sit on the Sree Yantra and do sadhana. Our Sree Yantra has triangles going inwards. Remember, all sree yantras are not same. I know this may be not your answer but this will add more information about sree yantras to you.
