Namaste..

Would please the sadkhaks who know explain the esoteric meaning behind

Durga's vehicle being a Tiger? I have only been able to find the more

obivous ones of strength, majesty, etc.

I really need to know and any help and guidance would be so

appreciated. My respects and thanks in advance.....

Namaste,

My view on tiger being Durga's vehicle is that, Tiger is the symbol for power

of anger and also represents the anger qualities of human beings. Durga is

shakthi (Power )She is the only goddess that can control this anger and drive.

Hence she has tiger as her vehicle.

I can not define my self as sadhak, but a worshiper.

With best wishes

Control denotes suppression and domination. Should the correct idea

be : Tame? Its better to tame our anger, instead of trying to

control it. We have to admit that anger is part and parcel of our

survival instinct. Its okay to be angry and feel the anger within

you, and its better if you are aware of this anger. Instead of

allowing the anger control you therefore cloud your mind, you

redirect this anger to a more productive use. It can be like a fuel

that propels the jet engine.

A tiger/lion is like the cat ......

You dont control a cat

The cats comes to you only when they want to

not when you want them.

If you have a cat as a pet before you will understand. You can tame

a cat but you cannot control them. They have a mind of their own.
