kAlarAtryAdisaktyaughAvrtA : Attended by hosts of Saktis, KAlarAtri,

etc.

 

There is a certain Sakti called KAlarAtri. Concerning the three forms

[of Devi] says the VarAha pr : "The Saktis of Rudra [ Raudri ] born

from darkness, who went to the blue mountain determined to perform

penance, O Earth, hear her vow.... That Raudri, the Supreme Sakti ever

devoted to penance, causing destruction, is called KAlarAtri.

 

Adi [ etc] : Twelve Saktis from KAlarAtri to TamkAri, one in each

petal [ Of AnAhata ]
