This is not a proper place IMO to go into western occultism, masonry etc. Those REALLY interested to know about Crowley and Thelema may study sourses - documents of A.'.A.'. and O.T.O. Newspaper crap which many know as "a fact" is not worth attention . Though A. Crowley is not important in the east he is important in the western tantric Tradition. I call it Tradition because now there are already third generation western tantrics that come from a lineage that is intimately connected with the taechings of A. Crowley. My Gurus Guru was already a Westerner : Shri mahendranatha he was called the first english Paramhamsa and Avadhoota known as Dadaji, who besides being a Natha And Kaula Guru has also received teachings from taoist and budhhist teachers, and he also studied with A. Crowley in the west, it was aleister crowley after he taught him what he knew gave the advice to go to India if he wants to learn more. My Teacher Sri Lokanatha Maharaj studied with Dadaji and another Disciple of A. Crowley. The tantric teachings do not belong to Hinduism only, there has been several lineages in the history of Tntra of teachers who transcended all religious dualism they taught Muslims Hindus and Buddhist alike. Shankar Maharaj the great Nath has said that there are Nath Panthis born all over the world to assist struggling humanity. One of these extraordinary people i believe was A.Crowley. This is not a known fact, on the contrary it is well known that he held the Goddess and woman in high esteem. He was doing tapas in front of an Kali Temple in india to be admited in the Temple to worship Kali Ma which eventually was allowed. , "Arjuna Taranandanatha" <bhagatirtha@m...> wrote: > 93, > > I respect Ur right to have Ur opinion and please respect my right to > have mine. > > This is not a proper place IMO to go into western occultism, masonry > etc. Those REALLY interested to know about Crowley and Thelema may > study sourses - documents of A.'.A.'. and O.T.O. Guest guest
Well, there is often a difference between holding the Goddess in high esteem, and treating women decently. , "mahahradanatha" <mahahradanatha> wrote: > > Aleister Crowley, while he may have been a man with insight, was a > > perverted man who misused women and this is a known fact. > > Though A. Guest guest
I wasn't there, so I don't really know specifically about this particular individual and women. I'm assuming that none of the rest of us with opinions on this topic was there, either. , "mahahradanatha" <mahahradanatha> wrote: > > Yes, but not this Gentleman, that is why i wrote: "and woman". > > > , "Mary Ann" > <buttercookie61> wrote: > > Well, there is often a difference between holding the Goddess in > > high esteem, and treating women decently. > > > > , "mahahradanatha" > > <mahahradanatha> wrote: > > > > Aleister Crowley, while he may have been a man with insight, > was > > a > > > > perverted man who misused women and this is a known fact. >
