Guest guest
Dear Group and Arjun, This is a wonderful discussion but I think the list and Arjun is accusing baselessly of Sri Ramakrishna of indulging in sex. This is Sri Ramakrishna's statement in the Gospel. " I have never enjoyed any women sexually, yes not even in my dreams, I have always maintained the attitude of a child towards my Mother". Please Please dont accuse baselessly without reading his Shakta Sadhana and the Gospel. There are many devotees (me included) who are on the list who are his devotees and follow his method of sadhana and we get hurt by such baseless accusations. He did perform some of the tantra sadhana's(under bhairavi brahmanis tutelage) wherein he watched a couple making love and he found that it was the Divine Mother who was the real enjoyer. But as the Group has discussed, for kaulas who are initiated into the practise this is a path not for everyone. For the rest who are not initiated its best to follow Sri Ramakrishna's advice wherein to a tantra sadhaka intent on following Vira sadhana he said "Its a very difficult path and prone to failure, best is to have an attitude of Mother towards all women and see the Divine Mother". He never ever said that treating Divine Mother as a lover was an invalid path (when making love to a woman) but it was very difficult. So Arjun can you please refer me to sources wherein it said that Sri Ramakrishna had sex, he never did. Dont dissapoint me by saying you heard somewhere. You are gossiping on a person of Iconic status whose life and sadhana is well documented. Its not that its bad, its just that in your overzealousness of defending your practises you are doing blasphemy. Again I totally accept the kaula way of sadhana just dont slander meaninglessly to prove your point. Regds Vinay He is born in vain, who having attained the human birth, so difficult to get, does not attempt to realize God in this very life. - Sri Ramakrishna "When wishes are few, the heart is happy. When desire ends, there is peace." - Buddha Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005
Guest guest
93, It is not that i was speaking about Ramakrishna with no respect. I do respect him very highly. And with that i say that he had practised sex. It isn't my own guess only. At least two persons told me the same - my kula-guru in Tara-vidya, direct successor of Sri Vamakshepa, and a Sri-vidya priest in Malaysia. I have seen some suggesting lines in some lifestory of Ramakrishna also.
