Guest guest
Hi Mary Ann - I feel like I'm being objectified here, although I am kind of enjoying it!!! Isn't laughter just wonderful? The men here are usually too serious except for Len. Okay, it might be a problem with the positon or angle of the pelvis because the hip and legs don't quite line up right to start with. That is why I started into Pilates to help correct that or at least keep the IT band stretched. I only started doing yoga last Spring and stopped over Summer so I'm still a newbie here. I am getting the postures right and my strength and balance is much better than when I started earlier this year. I'm still working out the positions. I was thinking, too, that the kundalini experience has made me more aware of my body from the solarplexus down. The problem might have been there before, but I just wasn't aware. The standard sport cups or athletic supporters would probably create more problems than not because they don't usually pull the penis and the scrotum up and against the body. A woman friend of mine who was a dancer told me to see about something called a "dance belt" and see if that would work. I purchased one Friday and tried it today. It's not perfect but is a big improvement. There are other kinds of support available that wrestlers and baseball players use. There are other designs for dancers. It is apparently it is more of an issue than I thought. The teacher may not be as experienced as I need. I don't have a body that lends it self well to yoga because my arms seem too short and my legs too long. I had been thinking of doing a flow class but a hathayoga class might be the way to go. You have been hinting at that. With all that said, as a male member of the group when I'm about 20 pounds lighter I'll consider posing in my spandex bicycle pants. ;-) Eric , "Mary Ann" <buttercookie61> wrote: > > Hi Eric: > > I am wondering if the problem might also have to do with the > position or angle of your pelvis.
