If the calendar sells well, it will pay for itself,

no?

I have friends in The Celtic League, American Branch.

They publish a yearly Celtic Calendar in black and

white, important holidays and Celtic historical events

listed on the days, and illoes are usually pen and ink

drawings in the Celtic art style. They always at

least break even, usually make a profit. We might

have artists in this group who can draw various

Shaktis in a Hindu style. I'd personally be

interested in a T-shirt or clock with Devi Bhakta's

painting of Matangi-Devi on it!

How about photos of Shakti Sadhana members? In

skin-tight bicycle pants? Mary Ann dressed as

Ardhanari? Nora as Mariamman? :-)

Most of the temples I know discourage the taking of

photographs.

I'm trying to get someone in Noo Yawk to photograph

the Heramba Ganapati statue I was gifted with, after

setting it up on an altar with lamps, flowers,

incense, silk brocade in background, etc. You all

will get a copy downloaded when it's done.

Thanks for your input, Len.

Yes, at least the sale might break even. But, to cut printing costs

and there by the sale price, printing in the US might still be

expensive for ppl from other places (notably South Asia).

In temples, the deity inside the sanctum sanctorum is a no-no for

photography. But, usually the one which is called "urchavar" (in

Tamil Nadu) meaning the form which is taken outside the temple can

be photographed. Still need some form of permission from the temple

authorities.

India last week I checked. The pencil sketches are ready. The painting will,

Devi willing start next week. Maybe we can use them on the Calender.
