prajNAnaghanarUpini : Concentrated knowledge.

 

Pra, superior, ie different from the mental modifications, jNAna, the

eternal wisdom, Ghana, concentrated, ie, not contaminated by avidyA.

The Sruti [br. Up., IV. 5. 13]:" Just as taste of a quantity of salt

is neither inside nor outside but everywhere, so O wife, this Self is

neither within nor without, but is full and concentrated knowledge"

She is the solidified form of Supreme Wisdom. She is the state of

consciousness in which nothing is experienced except Self.

 

sa yathA saindhava ghamonantaro bAhyaH krtsno rasa

ghana yevaivam vAreyamAtmA nantro bAhyaH krtsnontaH

 

PrajNAna GhanaH: Like the taste of salt in sea water, She is

everywhere; prajNAna is all-pervasive. (Brh. Up. 4-5-13.)
