Guest guest
Thanks, Nora! Can you post a link to the Taras you spoke of, too? I have not yet located them. You know, the Pic 2 of the Ardhanarishwara/i (in the SS DEVI folder) does have all the implements of the statuette I purchased. And on Pic 2, there isn't any voluptuousness of form for Shakti/Parvati. It's a painting, and the clothing and face coloring indicate gender, and the headdress on each side looks like what I recall on the mini- statue, too. So the statuette could be an Ardhanari after all, just not like what I am familiar with in other depictions (a la Pic 2 which is noticably feminine, and Pic 4 - a Nepalese version with a one-armed female side, curvaceous and large breasted). And I am happy the statuette has 2 arms on each side, like Pic 2. And to find an Ardhanarishwara/i for $15 in the FDUSA, as Kochu calls us (former democracy of the USA), means something! :-) , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy@s...> wrote: > > > ........... one more addition to Mary Ann collections.
