Guest guest
daksayajNavinAsini : Destroyer of the sacrifice of Daksa There are two Daksas, one is known as PrajApati and the other is a human king, an incarnation of the former. Though Siva destroyed the sacrifices of both, Devi was the instrument [of destruction]. The BrahmAnda and VAyu Prs. says, " After consulting the seven rsis, he cursed Daksa [saying], become a human king in the CAksusa cycle. You will be born of a mArisa [caste] woman, as the son of Pracetas, and as the grandson of PrAcinabarhis, and you will be known by the name of Daksa.... Desiring to please Devi I shall destroy your sacrifice" BhAskararAya's Commentary Translated into English by R. Ananthakrishna Sastry Thus ends the seventh KalA called SusumnA with the sixth hundred in the SaubhAgyabhAskara composed by BhAsurAnanda
