Comments on Sacred Sexuality and Shakti Sadhana

I've been spending some time contemplating some of the archives, and would

like to share some experiences of mine, which perhaps relate to some

comments made here in the past.

 

I hope I do not offend as I have no formal initiation or source to cite, but

my own experimentation and experience of what I consider Holy, Holy, Holy

.... *gongs*

 

I think I may have some examples which y'all may find useful (or at least of

purient interest, hehe). Certainly I am open discussion with any who wish

more details, but here I will try to be concise so as not to take up too

much space in case this is out of order.

Reference to Guruji Amritananda's teaching about the yoni-lingam, to which

I'd add (from an unpublished conversation) that the image is rooted in

"ancient Sakta fertility cults." According to Amritaji, the yoni-lingam (he

was speaking in particular of the image at the center of Devipuram's

Kamakhya temple, but the interpretation applies equally to all such images)

has an even more esoteric meaning than the one Lili mentions:

 

"On face value it is the image of a lingam in union with a yoni, the male

meaning, however, is that "the lingam is actually emerging from the yoni. In

other words, what one is viewing from the exoteric perspective as the God

and Goddess in union, is -- from the esoteric perspective -- the Goddess's

This teaching, of course, would mirror the Sri Vidya view that the ritual of

maithuna, esoteric enough in itself, is actually symbolic of a deeper state

of total identification of the Deity within the self.

I have an ongoing Working with a fellow I call my Twin. (I've subsequently

seen other references to this term though it came to me directly, and use it

in the same meaning.) This working is all telepathic, long-distance ... we

join in meditation, and, when things are really intense, there is NO

DIFFERENCE in our perception ... this was provoked by his desire to

experience - to BE - me with Her upon me, my feelings of ecstacy, and it was

given to me the method for being two places at the same time (another story

in itself - has to do with a vampire alieny thingy who was sorely in need

for Her love and repaid me by letting me sort of reverse engineer the

path/flow of diving into another being/self) ... I could get crude here, but

I will describe this more generally as giving up the fiction of separation,

encouraged by an overFlow of ecstacy ... it took breaking down a lot of

blocks in ajna chakra which was enabled by moving energy up from the more

fire-ey sexy lower "g'tummo" core ... I WAS him inside me and felt his

sensation and vice versa. There is no time and space when in this mode ...

I am very blessed in that She inhabits me; I am an expression of HEr when I

call her in prayer and she responds.

This is why I call Twin "Twin". Well, I also call him Beloved

 

"For I am divided for love's sake, for the chance of union." (Nuit, Our Lady

of the Stars, AL,I,29.) ... to quote Crowley.

 

It is the negative pole of the magnet which "reaches out" to the positive,

to result in the spark

 

I balance the polarities, both within myself and between me and Twin ... but

also channel a resonant charge (if you will continue with me on this

magnetic analogy) feedback to Her ... it is how the connection is

maintained, at least for me, for a long duration ... it is much easier to

practice this with a partner, IMO, not to mention much more fun.

Maintaining a, um shall I say, high level of attention/focus/energy, becomes

much easier. Now remember, I do all this stuff telepathically, so I don't

have the physical limitations/distractions, only the effects.

 

As an aside, there are many types of stimulation which can be done

telepathically which are logistically impossible in the meatworld

......

There is no doubt in my mind that Shakti and Shiva are One, or the they are

two sides of the same coin, so to speak, and ultimately Equal. But Equal

means Equal. Thus we may read in the Yoginihridaya Tantra that She is given

Shiva's attributes: "Obeisance to She who is Pure Being-Consciousness-Bliss,

in the form of Power [key words!]; to She who exists in the form of Time and

Space and All that is therein; to She who is the radiant Illumination in all

beings."

Obviously, I totally agree with this.

How right you are. That is what I am doing : going back to the point when

this whole discussion begins. To be honest, I have not "graduated" from the

yoni-lingam message as yet. I am still stuck with it. All these Maithuna

discussion is too much for me.

 

Let me brings you all back to what devi bhakta wrote [ see shakti sadhana

and sacred sexuality] : The Shakta view is quite different, as can be

gathered from Bhasurananda's remark that Devi is simply Brahman, and "She

can create another Shiva at Her will." The yoni- lingam, in the Shakta

perspective, is indeed Devi manifesting another Shiva.....

Well, I think I agree with the notion that "SHe can create another Shiva at

HEr will", too. Since the time when I found I could successfully and

consistently channel Her Will ... I have found myself extraordinarily

sensitive to contacts (what I call "pings") with many other men (again

telepathically), and can recombine the "Twin-ness" with them too. Some have

called this "shaktipat", I dunno. It is confusing to me sometimes, as I

still attempt to separate the personalities, though I think it all is a

Man-ifestation of the same One ... it is still the struggle to forget the

illusion of separateness, I think.

 

An interesting footnote ... I have channeled HEr also with women,

particularly a shaman friend who needed a quick and dirty synopsis of how to

channel the Flow, as she was being probed by another and had no frame of

reference ... I was able to put us both in the same time/space/body, too, so

as to show her by being me how the Flow could be balanced. This same type

of thing I do when healing (do not try this at home!) as I take the entity

into myself and neutralize it into the immensity of HEr ... as an analogous

sort of thought if that helps.
