Meaning:

As the one, whose voice is softer than that of yAz,

(mangaiyarkkaraciyAr) said so and saluted, the lord

of kavuNiyars who came to live cIr kAzi said,

"Encircled amidst other religions that who lives

service! We came to see you."

 

Notes:

1. cambandhar's pANDiya empire visit was the one

that changed the course of the entire kingdom

establishing back the shaivam. Still cambandhar

said his purpose of visit was to come and greet

mangaiyarkkaraciyAr and kulachiRaiyAr who stood

for shaivam even when the whole empire was converted

to other religions and in spite of the hatred and

opposition

they continued their shaivite service. He in deed sang

the

padhikam "mangayarkkaraci" praising the service of

these

two great saints throughout the padhikam. This shows

the

great height of these two devotees.
