Guest guest
Hi Red, I suppose I can write up something about it. Seems to me to be typical of any Fool's Journey. ;-) In the meantime, some of the best books I read when I was really full of myself (helped deflate my ego attachments): _Halfway Up the Mountain: Premature Claims of Enlightenment_ by Mariana Caplan _Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism_ by Chogyam Trungpa (who himself made false claims of Lamahood, apparently) _Kriya: Finding the True Path_ by Swami Satyeswarananda Giri Love, Felicia , Redder Red <redderred> wrote: > > Hi Felicia, > > Please can you share your journey with all of us. Guest guest
Hi Felicia, The second book on your list is available with my book-walla, Piccadilly Book Stall - Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism_ by Chogyam Trungpa . I think I shall go over and pick it up. Some times I wonder why I even try, as I keep keep falling failing even more miserably. Who Fool and what Journey !? For me its 'whither Fool, know not I". My journey begun with a curiosity of the Occult, reading books by Dennis Wheatley, magazines on Witchcraft, Ghost stories, then gradually into more understanding through some Theosophy, meditation and attempts to worship and chant mantras. Now the situation looks less secure/sure. Trying for the best, and ending up in a worse situation from before. Falling falling falling ! Passionless !!! Vanquished, Weak, Loser ! Has any one crossed this ? How ? ... thanks ... :-) Thanks for words well put in sweet kindness. Red Felicia <hygeiea44 wrote: Hi Red, I suppose I can write up something about it. If you are doing yoga asana, I will recommend three books from Bihar school of yoga to aid in your understanding. You might want to do a websearch to read about Dennis Wheatley, himself. Also, you may wish to consider that Wheatley wrote some of the what is generally considered the worst in pulp fiction using real people's names without their permission - some of his fiction was quite damaging and people still believe it. Also, you may wish to do a websearch regarding the historical facts regarding the Theosophists, KrishnaMurti's split with them, and the reason for the split, including what was revealed regarding Leadbeater's charlatanism. Guest guest
Hi Felicia, Thank you for being my guiding star now. Please recommend the books. Yes I do Yoga (Swami Shivananda) - need to get serious/practice more. Why Bihar School please ? I would love to surrender/embrace more completely, as I return from Rishikesh on the 8th. humbly, Vir Felicia <hygeiea44 wrote: --- In , Redder Red <redderred> wrote: > My journey begun with a curiosity of the Occult, reading books by Dennis Wheatley, magazines on Witchcraft, Ghost stories, then gradually into more understanding through some Theosophy, meditation and attempts to worship and chant mantras. Why Bihar School please ? Not the school, just the books. No other books like them here in the US. Here, they are quite exceptional. But, they may be considered ordinary where you are: _Kundalini Tantra_ by Swami Satyananda Saraswati _Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha_ by same author _Dharana Darshan_ by Paramahamsa Niranjananda Love, Felicia
