Guest guest
Hi Red, , Redder Red <redderred> > "constantly revolving" so tiring this spinning around in > circles...... so tiring..... The seasons are cyclical, our moods are cyclical. We respond to the seasons. Night and day are cyclical. We respond to the light and the darkness. Is Nataraj dizzy from the dance? Are you not Nataraj, centered, observing, creating? > death stalks nearer as I get > weaker ... how does one surrender... such painful falls > that so much is borken Are these physical falls resulting in broken bones or are you speaking figuratively/metaphorically of failed attempts at something in particular? If metaphor, then, how do you mean you are growing weaker? What actions have you taken and what is the purpose/goal? What are you failing to create? Also, regarding painful falls: Do you not think of life as fun and yourself as a child at play, learning how things really are v. how you thought they should be? Children fall and then get up, again, to join their friends. Being childlike (full of wonder) is fun! :-) To answer your question regarding how to surrender: Death (or any change) involves surrender only if you think of it in terms of surrender. ;-) I like this quote I found: "Attitude is what you start with when you approach a creative situation. It guides your attention and hence what you see and how you interpret what you see. A creative attitude is open, passionate, focused, and has many other attributes that leads you in the direction of creative success." --from: http://creatingminds.org/quotes/attitude.htm Note the focus is on Creativity with you as Creator. One of the best ways of "destroying"/ridding ourselves of what is undesirable, is by filling our lives with creativity so their is little or no room for the undesirable. Destruction through Creation. Here's another way of looking at it: Let us say, for example, that the universe has an apparent sexual nature to it... (rhetorical questions--no need to answer, here) In sex, do you surrender to your partner? Do you "surrender" to orgasm? Maybe "surrender" isn't the right word? What does surrender suggest? An opponent? Loss of a battle? Victory and vanquishing? If surrender doesn't work for you, maybe it's the wrong label? Perhaps "embrace" or "accept" might work better in terms of what it is that you are attempting to accomplish? Or another label? > Spiritual death should it be permanent or transitional in nature? What are you trying to kill? > Does spiritual death means the absence of the senses? By "spiritual death" do you mean asamprajnata nirvikalpa samadhi? > Passionless !!! Vanquished, Weak, Loser ! Well, that's what you get when you surrender, isn't it? ;-) Love, Felicia
