Shaktipat is not the grace of the guru but the grace of the disciple. > Second: The devotional paths where the goddesses and gods of the Hindu > pantheon play the central role. There are many Shaktipat gurus - also in Trika and Kashmir Saivism - alive today. Many are follower of Baba Muktananda but do you for example know of Soham-Baba, the tantric master from the Himalayas (Kaulism, Shakti Sadhana, Aghore and Vamacari Naga Tantra)? He resides often in the Netherlands and just previous weekend he gave some mild form of Shaktipat to some 200 people who were there. I say this because you live in Germany. > What group of people am I talking about? Well - I used to bee a > follower, if only in a marginal yet long lasting way - of a "bogus" > tantric guru. And I have been talking and interacting with other > devotees(shishyas) of that guru. This is now 5 years ago. It is hard to say who is bogus and who is authentic because we often get disappointed. At first - when we fall in love - we see the divine in somebody. And then when we get to know them better, we realise that this person is not perfect and also makes mistakes. It is then we start to believe he is a bogus. It is all a great mystery. The study of mysticism is hard. If you go (too) fast, you usually fall down hard and deep. In Saivistic cults, the blessing may come in the guise of a curse. There is however not a trap we can not get out of. What is the difference between Shaktipat-awakening and a curse? Can one exist without the other? Kind regards, Ralph.
Guest guest
Dear friends, Please dont get nuts abt using two different terms - "shakitpaat guru" and "sadguru" every sadguru is granted shakti to transfer to transform a person, how he uses it depends, ur main objective should be god only and god provides right guru for u, it's the guru who identifies his shishya not the shishya, if shishya tries to fix his guru, there are chances for him to decieved, coz he is unware of how a guru should be. if u see in all the known great cases it's the guru only who contacted his shishya and revealed himself. My own guru was given a mantra in person of astral body at nagpur, my guru thought if he is possesed by some spirits, he never chanted the mantra given by that astral guru, after year he visited himalayaa, and there he found one great sanyaasi very impressive, and requested him to become his guru, the sanyaasi gave a slap on his face and told to him - "u fool u r already given ur mantra by this great soul, i do namaskaar to him" and then he requested that astral guru to appear, he appeared there and thus my guru got faith and started chanting the mantra given to him, likewise when i went to meet my guru, i was not intended to receive mantra from him but he told me that he is my "Chinhit - known" guru and he has same mantra for me that was given to him by astral guru. i also never believed this and when i got spirtual experiences practically in my life i begane to believe. First and formost thing is ur intensity of feeling to know and find divine love, if u r single minded, and not leaving ur path, god arranges for every required thing. pls. rememebr guru is not god. god fixes a guru for u and not u. shaktipaat is just nothing, pls. dont have temptation for it, do ur sadhna and one day u will realize that u r granted shakti to continue ur sadhna, it's a protective thing to safeguard ur practice. it's a divine management and not ur business.
