Guest guest
Dear Red, Is the Problem Prostitution? No. It is human trafficking and slave trade, in the past this was caused by colonialism, and slaves where bounty in warfare, now it is caused by poverty and Oppression, some slaves are traded for prostitution others for slave labour in several sweat shop of the multinational global companys. If you think Prostitution is the Problem than you have some point, but unless you turn everybody into Eunuch, people will have Sex. If People have Sex there will be Prostitutes. It has been thus since all known History of Mankind there is no way to stop it, one can only try to help that NOBODY, (it is not enough that only children are protected), whether underaged or not is forced into Prostitution by Poverty or Brutality or other Harrasments. If people who have enough Food and Shelter and education and nonetheless decide to become Prostitutes it is their own decision it is neither forced on them by poverty or greed and physical force. If people are not oppressed and very poor they will not decide to sell their children to slave traders, or their organs to organtraders,or themselves into slave labour. But my main point is Prostitution is not the the Problem it is slave trade. Food shelter work and education and legal Action against the Traders and those Politicians that turn a blind eye to the general exploitation and modern Colonialism that is happening right under our eyes, would help, of course these actions have the downside that they are not as cheap as Morality talk:) i must admit that. If it did, every male and female in such conditions would, by the logical conclusion of your arguement become prostitutes. Pimping and indulging in their misery is unwholesome and creates the avenue and is the cause of the flesh business. Guest guest
This happens in Tijuana, Mexico also. When I was younger, I foolishly took my friends to the prostitution district in Tijuana and they paid for my encounter with a prostitute. That was the first, last, and only time. They thought it would be funny to pay for me to be with a Mexican "magdalena" becasue they knew I had been chaste for years. I have been chaste for some years since. I broke down and cried after my encounter with that prostitute who was aslo a mother of young children. I am disgusted with this flesh trade that takes advantage of impoverished women from various states of Mexico and beyond. All of these women find themselves in circumstances in which they choose to prostitute themselves, and I am sure that some see not much wrong in it. It's there way of making a living, but I will have no part of it. Some of these women who sell themselves to man after man are young and pretty. It makes me sad. I have yet to find a woman who I can be with...have a relationship with for friendship, companionship, mutual assistance, and yes, healing. I share my experiences with you all because I am not ashamed to tell people about my mistakes and the lessons I learn from them. I strive to be a person of integrity and have no ugly secrets to keep. I am so grateful that I came out of that experience in Tijuana free from any sexually transmitted diseases. Anyhow, I applaud all those activists who work to improve the situation of the prostitutes and raise awareness of the flesh trade. I'm afraid this "oldest of professions" is not going away anytime soon. --- Vir Rawlley <redderred wrote: > Yes my Friend, these are indeed deep waters ! > > mahahradanatha <mahahradanatha wrote: > Dear Red, > Is the Problem Prostitution? Guest guest
It is okay. In my book, the experience has made you richer, not poorer. I would not change anything in my life because God has made it perfect. Yes I have gone to whores too, not once or twice but quite a few times, and I have enjoyed myself. If you "enjoy" agonising over having gone to a whore, try and figure when this agonising will satisfy you enough so that you do not need to agonise more. I am not sure if you can carry focussed agonies into the next life and the next and so on. .......... ..... think about it :-) .. wanna stretch it ? :-) Prostitution is part of creation. You do not have to like it, but it is there. Come on Love your-self, Forgive your self ! It is said one cannot love or forgive another, unless one can do it for them selves. I think there is a lady with whom you can "have a relationship with for friendship, companionship, mutual assistance, and yes, healing". She is our sweet Devi. I am not trying to humor you, I believe what I am suggesting. Perhaps allow her to unite you with a flesh and blood match for you. I know this could sound strange, but one does bump across strange people ;-) With Love Hamilton Sarain <hamiltonsarain wrote: This happens in Tijuana, Mexico also. Guest guest
I certainly can forgive myself. Thanks for your kind words. In fact, when I remember that little encounter in Tijuana, I simply analyze the experience with little or no emotion. I did not want to go into more intimate detail about the encounter. I'll justa state that it was not some kind of traumatic experience that I want to block from my memory. I know that such encounters will never be satisfying and energizing for both partners as I can only imagine good sex to be. That is why I will not go back. I have experienced a more enrgetically charged feeling when I loved ceretain women without even touching them. I perceived them more as entire living souls rather than mere objects of sexual desire. I can go on about this topic and my unfulfilled desire for intimacy with a woman, but I'll leave it at that. I see aspects of Devi in every woman. Only a couple women, by there presence and their displays of character, have given me a feeling closest to what might be termed "shaktipat." It certainly will be Devi who will give me a flesh and blood partner. We will both know that it is right for us... --- Vir Rawlley <redderred wrote: > It is okay. Guest guest
Allow me to share with you a simple way of knowing if a lady likes you. If you know this, good. This so obvious way was told to me by my girl friend many years ago. If you like a girl and want to know if she likes you, take her hand naturally and gently in yours, meaning don't grab. Perhaps when you are walking or standing together. Be natural, continue talking and respect her by allowing her to remove it if she does. Respect her after too. If she lets you hold her hand then you can be sure she likes you too. Allow your minds to meet. If they do, she will take take you to a more physically intimate level. Allow her to make the first move, you will know when she does so don't look for it; a friend is always a better lover, because he or she understands you, allows you to be who you are and accepts you as that. This is how I see it. All the best. My apologies to the Sangha of Shakti Sadhana for going off-course from more precise spiritual themes.
