Guest guest
Namaste All. About two years ago, Guru-Ma has asked me to learn the "Aparajita Stotram." I was not as knowledgeable then as I am now about Shaktaa scriptures, and instead learned the "Aparajita Stutih" from Chapter 5 of the Devi Mahatyam. (It is also popularly known for its 23 repeated verses of 'Ya Devi Sarva Bhutesu', in which the various manifestations of the Mother are listed.) I'm quite glad I have studied this Stutih, and I have spent some time learning the other great hymns from the Chandi. However, I would still like to learn the Aparajita Stotram, if at all possible. While I was in India, my great-aunt, who was a devotee of my Guru-Ma as well, offered me a copy of the text in Bengali, but I'm not capable of reading it. According to my great-aunt, the text is traditionally reciting during the Durga Puja festivals. If there is anyone on this list that can provide anymore information about this text, I would be very grateful. Jai Maa. -S "Aum Shanti Shanti Shantih." Guest guest
I am confident that someone here will be able to provide you with the text in short order. In the meantime, may I ask who is the "Guru- Ma" to whom you refer? Sorry if the question appears rude. It is not meant in that spirit. Guest guest
Namaste Aparna: That hymn is the great Aparajita Stuti, from the Durga Saptasi. It is a lovely one, and one that I have incorporated into my practice, but not the one I am looking for. The Aparajita Stotram I believe is something different. Thank you for your efforts. -Santo "Aum Shanti Shanti Shantih."
