Guest guest
thirucciRRambalam 703 If you want liberation and wisdom, what is the wisdom of getting to fatigue by observing vows? Those who have the wisdom of seeking thiruvalanycuzi of our Lord and sing musically with the pure thamiz of thirunyAnacambandhar, reaching to their feet is the wisdom. Below are some of an endless list of beliefs which I wish to place under scrutiny. Namaste You actually would like to set up a program so that all these devastating beliefs will be banned entirely out of the brain, thinking, consciousness and nervous system of all the people on the planet? 1b. Blessing or initiation by certain saints/gurus would remove karmic effects. Imagine ... 2b. A popular and gorgeous Indian actrice should be worshipped as Goddess. 3b. Death during the Hadj in Mecca, ensures a place for oneself and devout-family-members in a heavenly realm We can hardly hold the opposite is it not so? Such a belief is absolutely necessary. This is MERELY a matter of respect and not beliefs. 4. Death during vaikunda agathasi ensures a place in vishnu's realm 5. On remembering 108 places where shakti's body parts fell will lead to liberation. One is more doubtful than another. This is absolutely preposterous and filled with superstition. It comes out of a so-called 'magic realm'. But when some people decide to live in that realm and to play and challenge each other (t)here, people will have to bear the consequences. I know that spells as well as shaktipatas and abhiseakas are true. The world is energy. Energy is power. We experience vibrational realms. 6. Bathing in Ganges river removes sins. This is true for a proper and profound or sanctified bath or shower. 7. There is no reincarnation for Muslims and Christians. But some kind of life after that. Reincarnation is merely a word. Few religious man i know of dare to live in the full conviction - beyond a shadow of a doubt! - that after physical death, EVERYTHING is finished and the show is entirely over for you. No more repeats or lingering on. Not one other chance! This is the last. There is no redemption and certainly no hell after this life. No angels to greet us. No pain. Nothing. So religion will always be there because few people have the courage to jump in the middle of an endless wave in a surging ocean at the time of the great Cosmic Dissolution. The list can goes on and on. In this list I feel that a strong sense of belief is instilled in people. Its so strong that causes the impossible to happen. Beautifully said. Bravo! It directs one to do a given action or to have a given mind frame that leads to a desired outcome. Why would it be 'desired'? This i think is an inconsideration in your proposed philosophy. I see this as a placebo effect. The mind is manipulated to create this positive outcome under normal circumstances will makes it impossible to happen I wish to seek the opinion of members if my hypothesis is correct. If my hypothesis is correct then I wish to pose another question. Can we create our own placebo effect? For example, If one has absolute belief that doing jaba only 1008 times of a given mantra in the morning will lead him or her to liberation, then can his or her personal belief really lead him or her to liberation? I highly doubt this. The mind of people is weak. Or in fact the mind is very strong. Anyway - no matter how you see it; anyone who would develop such mind-control as you describe here, will rightly attract thousands of disciples while he is a fraud. Just one morning japa and all is well? For what it is worth ... Reaching to the feet is wisdom.
