Guest guest
The RAjAs are the eight DikpAlakAs, and their overlords are the Trimurthis -- Brahma, Visnu and Maheswara. She rules over these overlords. - Dr. C. Guest guest
Hi Max: The Ashta Dikpalakas are simply the Eight Directions, or points of the compass. They are often referred to in vaastu calculations: 1. Kubera (N): Wealth 2. Iswara (NE): Knowledge 3. Indra (E): Senses 4. Agni (SE): Fire 5. Yama (S): Death 6. Niruti (SW): Negative Forces 7. Varuna (W): Rain 8. Vayu (NW): Air/Wind This latest series of LS names, as you probably noticed, has concentrated a lot on Her areas of dominion. Rajarajeswari is more or less the apotheosis of that -- saying She rules over the Trinity (i.e. the Divine World) and the Eight Directions (i.e. the Manifest World) is basically just a more dramatic way of saying She rules over everything, everywhere, no exceptions. ;-) Hope that helps ...
