sAmrAjyadAyini : Bestower of sAmrAjya

SAmrAjya, the state of a king who performs the RAjasUya sacrifice, or

a king of the earth, or the kings of kings. It is said in the Agni Pr.

and in the Kosas, "He who has performed the RAjasUya sacrifice, one

who is the lord of the earth and who rules over kings is called samrAt"

She is the Giver of Empires.

But what does this mean? On one level, it means She confers on Her

devotees those Empires, which only a performer of rAjasUya-yAgna can

receive. But it also means moksa-sAmrAjya, or the Empire of Liberation,

which is known as pUrna-pattAbhiseka or pUrna-dIksA in Srividya. This

is greater than any imaginable earthly empire.

1962
