Guest guest
Dear All. On the eve of Shivaratri, I am presenting this article which i gathered and compiled from different souces. I am not an authority - Please feel free to guide me or correct me. Devi Shree Lalitha is described as Kamakala and Maha maya(supreme goddess of all desires). It is she who orders and creates this samsara of ocean that is maya. with sadasiva that is pure consciousness as a witness.i Chakras in true words is our own imagination. We need to visualise the below shaktis being present in sushama nadi, along with ida and pingla. This is given in LALITHA SAHASRANAMA as Kundalini meditation. CHAKRA MEDITATION; MULADHARA; at the base of spine Five Faced devi named SAKINI presides this chakra., She is attended by VARADA and THREE other saktis.. She presides over bones. Her colour is RED. She is armed with goud and noose. Pleased with MOONG BEANS WITH RICE BEEJA MANTRA; LAM SVADHISHATANA; inbetween genitals and anus She has Four facinating faces, she is attended by BANDHINI AND OTHER SAKTIS She presides over fatty substance in living bodies. Armed with TRIDENT and she is golden in colour. Pleased with the offereing of RICE WITH CURD BEEJA MANTRA; VAM MANIPURA; slightly below naval and solar plexes she has THREE FACES and she is named LAKINI She is attended by DAMARI and other saktis. She holds THUNDERBOLD AND OTEHR weapons She presides over FLESH She is SUN RUBY HUED She is pleased with RICE COOKED WITH JAGGERY She bestows HAPPINESS. Beeja Mantra: RUM ANAHATA; hEART CHAKRA She hasTwo faces with shining Fangs and is called RAGINI. and is attened by KALARATRI AND other saktis Her complexion is Dark She wears rosary She presides over BLOOD. She loves rice MIXED WITH GHEE She grants BOONS. Beeja mantra; ? VISUDDHI; throat chakra She is known as DAKINI SHE is surrounded by 16 saktis beginning with Amrita, bhvaneshwai etc She has ONE FACE WITH THREE EYES. She presides over skin whih gives the sensation of Touch She is armed with a CLUB AND OTHE WEAPONS She loves MILK PUDDING Beeja Mantra: AJANA CHAKRA; between two eyebrows. SAKTI HAKINI represents this chakra attened on either sides by HAMSAVATI AND KSAMAVATI. Her complexion is WHITE. sHE has SIX FACES She presides over marrow. She loves SAFFRON FLAVOURED RICE. Beeja Mantra:YAM SAHASRARA; above eyebrow YAKINI is the sakti who dwells in 1000 petteled lotus. SHE shines with all colours. She carries all type of weapons She faces all direction She presides over vital fluid called OJAS She likes all kind of food. Beeja Mantra: HUM Above sahasrara chakra resides maheshwara or Maheshwari that is ardhanarishwar or ardhanarishari. There is only one god. but we meditate her in different forms. The above is just one illustration to intensify our visualisation. My question follows:, i WAS FORWARDED the below ARTICLE, I would like to have second opinion when practising meditation. ARTICLE WARNS: But this energy when activated can sometimes prove harmful. The tremendous energy when unleashed could at times magnify one's negative traits and make one's actions perverted, for as it is said - Absolute power corrupts absolutely! But this happens only when one does not have a Sadguru, a truly enlightened spiritual master in one's life. If however one has, then he could easily prevent any mishap and lead one on and ultimately introduce one to the real creative powers hidden within. To achieve this state however one has to try and that too fearlessly. If you are apprehensive of getting drowned you can never learn to swim. You can't even learn without entering the waters. A Guru can only teach you the method, it is then upto you whether you dive in or not. But know it, without diving you can never learn. You shall have to try Sadhanas. And don't you worry about anything, for the Sadguru guides each step in life and he won't let you drown or any harm come to you. And if you keep trying then one day suddenly you shall know that you have learnt to swim. A feeling of elation shall then fill you. After Sadhana very suddenly one day a Chakra would be activated and some divine experience shall let you know it. You shall then be a witness to all that you have only read about till now. But to reach that stage you shall have to run, run with all your might, with full faith and conviction that you shall win. If you don't, you shall not get anywhere. raji
Guest guest
Hi Rajeswari Iyer, If you or anyone wishes to have information on the dhyanaslokas of the yoginis presiding over the chakras, please refer to the book "Shatchakranirupana". Sir John Woodroff has given a beautiful translation of Shatchakranirupana in English in the latter part of his book 'the Serpent Power' . For very, very authentic information, pl refer to Yoginihrdayam by Bhaskararaya. Om namastripurasundari
