Guest guest
sadAsivapativratA : The devoted spouse of SadAsiva. [Question] If the above is true, as Tripurasundari is in the form of energy, and as she is in the form of supreme egoism[parAhamtA] and other qualities, these attributes become illusory. [Answer] "Devoted to Siva" means ever remaining with him in all the three times. The other attributes are imaginary and their qualities are also imaginary. But in this Sakti only the qualities are attributed, not the energy itself, hence she belongs to Brahman [or she is the same as Brahman]. BhAskararAya's Commentary Translated into English by R. Ananthakrishna Sastry.
Guest guest
This name establishes Her equal status with Siva. The previous name [708/sarvipAdhi-vinirmuktA] described Her as Nirguna-Brahman, the Supreme Divine Without Attributes. If this is so, then the question arises: How then can She have the attribute of a relationship with Siva? The present name sets that doubt to rest: The wife 'Sakti' and the husband 'Siva' have only the identical aspects of Sat, Cit and Ananda. - Dr. C. Guest guest
Hi DB She herself is sadashivaa and presides over grace i.e. anugrahadaa, as occuring in the earlier part of LS. Of the panchakrityas, the fifth is anugraha which is conferring the boon of moksha on the bhakta; Parabrahman only can confer this boon and she is shiva-abhinna; conmpare soundaryalahari 'parabrahma-mahishi'. This is the full import of the name sadashivapativrata. The choice of the word sadashiva in preference to any other epithets of parashiva is unique. Vedas proclaim: devi hiranyagarbhini...
