Guest guest
She takes the form of Daksinamurti. When Sanaka and Sanandana and the other sages were unable to grasp the Ultimate, Siva assumed the form of a boy of 16 years and, sitting facing South, was able to give them knowledge of the Ultimate by a mere deep silence, which is an embodiment of the Turiya state. Therefore, all knowledge emanates from Sri Daksinamurthi, who is known as the Cosmic Guru. But He is merely Her form! He, who, according to Sankara's Daksinamurthi Stotra, is the treasure house of all knowledge! - Dr. C. Suryanarayana Murthy, Commentary on the Sri Lalita Sahasranama, 1962 , "NMadasamy" <nmadasamy wrote: > > > daksinAmUrtirUpini : In the form of DaksinAmUrti > > DaksinAmurti is Siva sitting, facing south, well known as the > instructor of BrahmA, NArAyana, etc. whose mantras are found described > in the Tantras. > > > BhAskararAya's Commentary > Translated into English by R.
