Meaning:

I asked out of unawareness. Please tell me,

oh those who are seeking Grace!

The One at thirukkaNDiyUr vIraTTam on the

bank of kAviri that has agile moving water,

is it because He does not have wealth?

While those who came to His fold are ruling

the universe, He is living in the forest,

dances and sings and begs in this world!!

Notes:

1. This padhikam is fully in the tone of enquiring the

devotees about various deeds of the Lord. Hence it

is called vinAvurai.

2. Isn't this question smarter than an answer?

cambandhar asks, "Is it because the Lord does not

have wealth of His own? All those who fall in His feet

rule the universe - be it kubera, indra, brahma, viShNu

all divines. How come He is dancing, singing and begging

in the world?"

All the things belong only to God. All the wealth we,

the divines or any other creature has are got by Its grace.

Then why is It wearing tiger skin and wandering like a beggar?

Because It has no use of all these wealth. It is the immature

souls that are dependent on external wealth to get happiness

and for that Perfect being which is ever Blissful with no

dependency, these are no adornments.
