Indeed what begins as a typo error has eventually lead us to

another. hhhhaaaa. Ah! its Devi will for it to happen.

 

 

It's an excerpt from a wonderful conversation with a great Srividya

adept and guru but has asked that his name be withheld for privacy

purposes.

 

A : There is a name "Lajjaapada samaaraadhyaa" in Lalitaa trishati.

So the name is " she who is worshipped with the word Lajjaa. This is

from the 300 names with the embedded panchadashi mantra . 20 names

each for each letter of panchadashi

 

ME : So lajjah too is the hrim?

 

A : yes and do u know what this is?? why is the name lajja used

there? The panchadashi is also embedded in LS .This lajja is one of

the places where the bIja hrIM occurs in the mantra.

 

ME : So panchadashi is spread out throughout the LS. When you are

reciting the LS is like reciting the panchadashi itself.

 

A : Yes. For those who do not have deeksha this is the way to recite

the mantra .So what every one in SS should do is to find the various

places where the Mantra bIjas occur. The person who finds first all

the letters of the mantra will have a special gift.

 

ME : What is the special gift?

 

A : SHE will give

Not only is the panchadasi embedded in LS, but also the bala, kamabijam,

kamakala, vyoma bijam etc., That's the reason LS is considered part of mantra

shastra and that's why puritans insist on pronoucing LS in the proper way. There

was a time when we believed LS, Soundarya Lahari and Devi Mahatmyam should be

taken from a guru only :- gurumukhaikavedyam. In fact the shloka starting Sivah

shaktih kamah... in Soundaryalahari gives the panchadasi in full. Words like

nityaklinna, madadrava are all proper mantras -- you can also refer to

Prapanchasara tantram to substantiate this.
