Guest guest
Om bhur bhuvah swah tat savitur varenyam bhargo devasya dhimahi dhiyo yonah prachodayat Atmiya all, Vedmata Gayatri: According to Indian scriptures, once Lord Narayana felt that "Eko ham bahusyami", "I want to be a lot from one". That time one lotus came from His neval and He created Lord Brahma on it. Then Lord Narayana told Brahmaji to create a universe where a lot like Him can flourish. Brahmaji used Lord's "Tamas" shakti to create 5 essential facores of life(earth, sky, water, fire and air). Then the atoms of all five of them combined with one another to create all physical bodies like, human, animals, insects, mountains, rivers and so on.. basically Prakriti. Now Brahmaji used Lord's Sat shakti and put a fraction of Lord in each of them, then everyone became alive! Our scriptures called this sat shakti Savitri. Now there has to be the principles of life for everyone, so Brahmaji gave principles of how everyone should live in form of 24 letters which grametically falls in to Gayatri chand. So the 24 letters mantra that Brahmaji gave became popular as Gayatri mantra (Tat savitur...., Om bhur bhuvah, svah is the vyrhaties). Now since it is very difficult for a layman to understand the meaning of each letter of this mantra, our sages wrote lots and lots of slokas to explain each of the 24 letters. Then when a sage named Krishnadvaipayan Vyasa came, he thought that this important Brahma gyan is scattered every where. So he compiled it in to four parts, like all the slokas explaing principles of how our Dharma(Rig) should be in one, about our manoranjan(Sam) in one, our administration (Yajur) in one and Money matters(Atharva) in one. Thus all of them known as Vedas because in Sanscrit, knowledge means Ved and sage Krishnadvaipayan Vyasa became known as Ved Vyasa. Thus since all Vedas are just the definition of Gayatri mantra, Gayatri is known as Vedmata. After compiling Vedas also Ved Vyasa and other rishies were not satisfied, so they gave practical explanation in form of smrities and Dareshans and puranas. And finally Ved Vyasa gave Mahabharat and Gita. Thus all the scriptures we have today are just the definition of Gayatri mantra only. Dev mata Gayatri: Gayatri mantra gives divinity. Also She is worshipped by all our Devtas. So Sahe is called Dev mata. There are 24 Gayatri mantra to please each devta separately. Vishwamata: Since Gayatri is tha Sat shakti of Lord and the Pran shakti of the entire universe, Gayatri is known as Vishvamata.
