svargApavargadA :bestower of heaven and salvation.

The Sruti says, "That happiness which is not interrupted by pain [now]

or in future, attained through desire, is called svarga". This

happiness is temporary. The happiness in salvation is an eternal one.

BhAskararAya's Commentary

She confers both kinds of happiness: Svarga, happiness that has an

ending, sometime after the Punya is exhausted; and Apavarga, the

Bliss or Moksa which is infinite happiness.

Sahasranama, 1962
