***** [ 14 ] PArvati : One who bestows the supreme state in the path

of self-realization.

 

Parvati, according to PurAnas, is the supreme name of DurgA, born as

the daughter of HimavAn and MenA, she was Sati, in her previous

birth. She is the consort of Siva whom she won by austere penance.

Esoterically, PArvati is the serene consciousness that brings about

perfection in self-knowledge. PArvatI is that auspicious intelligence

that confers the supreme state of self-realization on aspirant.
