Guest guest
kalAnidhih : Reservoir of science KalAs are described before [ see comm. on name 236]. KalAs are jivas. The Br. Up [i. 5. 15] says, "The Atman is the sixteenth KalA of him." KalAnifhi may mean the moon's disc. According to the Siva-Sutra [ I. 3 ] "... KalA means body." the commentator of this explains kalA means action [karman]; hence all actions end in her [nidhi]; Bh.-gitA [iV. 33], "All actions, O Partha, end in wisdom". Guest guest
1. She is the fountainhead of the Moon's 16 aspects. 2. She is the fountainhead of all the Arts. (KalA also means "art," meaning thereby that all arts are derived from Her). 3. She is the fountainhead of all Karma. (KalA can also mean "the body," or Karma. According to the Siva Sutras, She is the object and receptacle of all actions.) - Dr. C.
