Guest guest Posted August 8, 1999 Report Share Posted August 8, 1999 Richard Freeman, I would guess, advises against wiping away sweat because Patthabi Jois mentions, in Yoga Mala, that one becomes strong and light if one wipes the perspiration into the skin. The opposite can be inferred if one towels off the perspiration. You can take it or leave it. I generally attempt to avoid towelling off during practice.
