Experiences with Diet

I'd be really interested to know about other

yogis experiences with diet in relation to practice. In

other words, have you made any discoveries about your

diet and its effect on your asana practice?<br><br>So

far, I've found that one particular verse from the HY

Pradipika is absolutely true in respect to my own practice:

OVEREATING DESTROYS YOGA.<br><br>Beyond that, I'm doing a

bit of experimenting to see what effect diet has on

my flexibility. <br><br>Does cutting out sugar have

any effect? What does decreasing the amount of salt

do? Raw foods? High intake of fluids? (One raw

foodist-yogi said that most fruitarians of his aquaintance

were actually stiffer that most folks).

reference to fruitarians, my yoga teacher told me that when

he was hanging out in hawaii that he tried to

instruct a group of frutarians and they just didn't have

the strength to be able to practice ashtanga

efficiently.
